And finally, a system which simulates an automatic warehouse, where the objective is to transport, store and retrieve boxes from a rack.

And that¬īs it…i know this is not an original and surprising post but at least i have not put any IKEA case…

Reverse Logistics

Reverse logistics stands for all operations related to the reuse of products and materials. bestlog project

May 10, 2010
The biggest project ever started by the Directorate-General Energy and Transport. Participants in the workshops and conference will get access to first hand information on recent logistics developments, best practices and the European Commission’s transport strategy.
Interesting project focused on the collection and dissemination of logistics best practice, which is understood as:
Strictly speaking, from a transport policy point of view, best practice in logistics would cover only those business practices which fulfil business and policy objectives, the overlap section in the picture below, i.e. business practices which reduce the amount of traffic.

bestLog takes a different stand which reflects that EC policy is recognising freight transport as necessary for economic growth and efficiency. BestLog will therefore also cover good business practice which on a surface level may lead to transport growth.

bestLog aims to improve logistics competence across Europe leading to an overall more efficient use of transport capacities and a healthier modal split.
